Each year, we recognize contributions across a variety of categories, acknowledging everything from significant investments in physical improvements to outstanding leadership in public service. These awards reflect the spirit of collaboration and innovation that drives the success of our community.
Award Categories
Renaissance Awards: Recognizes significant investments in physical improvements to the downtown, midtown, and uptown areas, including non-historic and new construction projects.
David Barksdale Historic Preservation Award: Recognizes significant investments in physical improvements to historic projects in the downtown, midtown, and uptown areas.
Horizon Award: Honors new or emerging businesses that have been in operation for five years or less in the downtown or uptown areas.
Foundation Award: Celebrates businesses or organizations that have been the backbone of the downtown or uptown community for ten years or more.
Achievement Award: Highlights individuals who have made significant contributions to the growth and development of our local business districts, either through a major project or ongoing service.
